Living hygge this May | Weekend cabin

Months are flying by lately and it’s already this time of the month, marking the beginning of May. May is usually my favourite month in Scotland. It’s often the best month for the weather, although this year it hasn’t started that way. It’s been quite moody so it’s scaring me for our wedding which is early May next year! Eek!

Anyhow, this month I’m back with more Living hygge post. The Little Book of Hygge declares May the month of weekend cabins. Another fab ideas in the Danish world of hygge! I’m off to Canada as this post is going live on the blog, but when I’m back I’d love to get the Brit and I to a cabin, even if it’s near enough our house and have an unplugged and relaxing weekend.

For this month, I thought I would yet again give you advice on how to best spend this month’s theme in Scotland!

>> I’ve been obsessed with the High Seas Hobbit cabins for years now. They look so comfy and cosy and in the perfect location, summer or winter. They are located in Aberdeenshire near Fraserburgh.

>> Kathi from Watch me see (an amazing blog, follow it!) shared her stay at this amazing wood cabin, situated near Glen Coe.

>> If you fancy a romantic getaway into nature, why not stay in an amazing treehouse in Glenshee, just inside the Cairngorms National Park.

>> Looking for a real picturesque and unplugged weekend? Eigg is an amazing island in the Inner Hebrides, a short ferry away from Mallaig. They are a self-sufficient and very green island, cars aren’t allowed and they produce their own electricity. There are wee “cosy hideaways” as they call them, which look amazing. Dogs are also welcome in a few of their lodges!

Have you ever stayed in a cabin in Scotland?xx
